Jerome and Valerie Clayton

Valerie and Jerome Clayton have a mission: to encourage singles to “wholeness” and couples to “oneness” with their spouses. It is their desire to help women to embrace their “uniqueness” and to discover their God-given gifts in order to pursue and fulfill their purpose.

Valerie Clayton and her husband Dr. Jerome Clayton, M.S.W., Psy.D. have authored the book Victory in Singleness: A Strategy for Emotional Peace. This book addresses and provides practical solutions to the common feelings women experience when faced with prolonged singleness. Victory in Singleness is about recognizing, naming, and solving emotional mess that cause women to make poor choices that lead to despair and hopelessness. This book teaches readers how to experience the peace God intended.

Valerie Clayton has over sixteen years of lay-counseling experience and has encouraged hundreds of women over that period of time. Dr. Clayton has more than fourteen years of counseling experience. Over the years, he has touched lives by providing individual counseling, group counseling and crisis intervention.

The Claytons author the weekly advice column “Ask Jerome and Valerie” which runs in the Los Angeles Sentinel, a newspaper which has served Los Angeles’ African-American community for decades. They have been featured on television, in various newspapers and magazines. Both Jerome and Valerie are sought-after speakers and have been frequently featured guests on many radio talk shows across the country. The Claytons are members of Covenant Blessing Fellowship under the leadership of Pastor Donald Bell, Senior and are the parents of two very active boys.
